About ASA
Afghan Students at the University of Ottawa
and Carleton University have inaugurated
the
Afghan Student Association (ASA)
to bring together all the students dedicated
to contribute their efforts in the expansion
of cultural and educational awareness of
Afghans among people. The aim of ASA is
to collaborate with all associations and
non-profit organizations that are involved in
promoting humanitarian aid to Afghan
children in their educational and social life.
Another main goal of our association is to
facilitate basic needs for vulnerable
sectors in Afghanistan directly through fund
raising and other charitable programs. The
association welcomes both Afghans and
non-Afghans who are committed to support
and endorse our mission in adopting the
concept of broader ASA. In addition to all
the above mentioned objectives, ASA is
also passionate about organizing social
activities and events for all ASA members
residing in Ottawa.
Association was founded with the initiative
of Ajmal Wardak who served as a
President for two terms.
